Privacy Policy — Club XI Optimizer

Short version: the Extension reads the player data already loaded in your EA FC™ Web App and sends only that football data to our server to calculate your best XI. It never sees, stores, or transmits your EA login, password, or account details, and we don't sell your data or build a profile of you. If you separately choose to submit match clips or screenshots to help improve the model, those files are stored privately and deleted after 30 days.

1Who we are

Club XI Optimizer (also "CIX", "we", "us") is an independent, community-made tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Electronic Arts Inc. "EA", "EA SPORTS FC", "FC 26", and "Ultimate Team" are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc., used here only descriptively.

2What the Extension accesses

When you open the Extension on the EA FC Web App, it reads the club data that the Web App has already loaded into your browser — your players and their ratings, attributes, positions, PlayStyles and roles. It does this in your browser's memory. It does not log in for you and has no access to your EA credentials, email, payment methods, friends, or any other account information.

3What is sent to our server

To compute the optimal XI, the Extension sends to our calculation API:

your players' football attributes, positions, PlayStyles and ratings;
your tactic choices (formation, roles, focus, build-up style, defensive depth, model).

This data is used only to calculate and return your XI in real time. We do not require an account and we do not attach your name, email, or EA identity to it. Players are sent as football statistics, not as anything that identifies you.

4Match submissions (optional)

If you use the submission page to send match screenshots, a video clip, and/or your squad file, those files are uploaded to our server and held in non-public storage. We use them only to analyse gameplay and improve the model's tactical accuracy. The uploaded files are automatically deleted after 30 days; anonymous, aggregate statistics derived from them — which do not identify you — may be kept. Submissions are visible only to the operator, are never published, and are never sold or shared beyond the hosting needed to run the service. Each submission includes the team name and abbreviation you enter so we can match the files, so please don't include anything you consider sensitive. To have a submission removed sooner, email us (section 13); because files aren't tied to an account, mention roughly when you submitted.

5Analytics

We record a small number of anonymous, aggregate usage events — for example "a page was viewed", "the Extension was downloaded", a language was switched, or an XI was calculated. These help us understand how the tool is used. They contain no personal data and are not linked to your identity.

Like any web service, our server may briefly record technical request data (such as an IP address) in standard security logs. These are kept only short-term for abuse prevention and are not used to identify or profile users.

6Data stored on your device

The Extension stores your own settings (such as your preferred formation, roles and model — and, for the paid version, your license key) locally in your browser via Chrome storage. This never leaves your device except, for a license key, to verify your purchase. You can clear it any time by removing the Extension.

7Payments (paid version)

The optional CIX Advanced upgrade (a monthly subscription or a one-time season pass) is handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. When you buy, they process your email and payment details under their own privacy policy — we never receive or store your card details. We receive only confirmation that a license key is valid.

8Cookies

The Site uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the tool (hosting and, for paid users, the payment provider), and only as described above.

10Your rights

Because we don't hold a personal account profile for free users, there is little personal data to access or delete. For paid subscriptions, you can request access to or deletion of your subscription data by contacting us. If you've sent a match submission, you can ask us to delete it — see "Match submissions" (section 4) above.

11Children

This tool is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

12Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be noted on this page.
